A physical on site audit of your telephony systems can be conducted by Telecom Security to identify physical security issues with recommendations to resolve each.

Methodology:

  1. Meeting to determine the scope of the audit. We will tailor our audit to your specific requirements which will be agreed before the audit commences
  2. The physical security audit can include;
  • Access to communications risers within the building
  • Access to telephone handsets in public areas of the building
  • Access to telephone handsets in areas only accessible to staff which are still “public” handsets ie; not allocated to a staff members desk
  • If a call accounting application is in use - recommendations for reports to identify abuse / toll fraud
  • Access to each of the physical PABX’s and telephone system infrastructure
  • Potential physical risks to the communication system; malicious tampering, power failure, lightning and overheating
  • technical countermeasures (bug sweeping)
  1. Telecom Security will provide a comprehensive report with both best practice recommendations written for management and technical information required by the PABX maintainer.

Options:

This review can include an audit of the policies and procedures for access to the various buildings and facilities from the tenants and property owners’ points of view if requested.
